Martin has over 20 years of experience in banking and commercial finance, including extensive experience preparing complex credit proposals for negotiation with specialist underwriting teams. He grew frustrated with the constraints of institutional banking — where decades of market knowledge were increasingly overridden by automated decision-making with no understanding of commercial reality — and with a brokerage sector where some operators have claimed broad expertise across all areas of finance despite limited banking background.
